JERRY YANG - AN ULTIMATE WINNER
I was my big fortune when I read the interview of a poker celebrity, Jerry Yang, the winner of main event WSOP 2007. He had really put the sky down to earth when he won the event with his strong tactic and full potentials. And thus, some of the poker writers were regarded him with a title of a “World-Class champion of the World”.
There created an amazing scenario when he pulled his right arm upwards in order to show his victory and was gathered by lots of people around him. The scene created a real picture of success that is admired by the whole world.
Jerry Yang was born in 1968 and basically from Laos, but living currently at Temecula, California. He had started playing poker just two years back and now achieved whatever is only dreamed by others.
Yang took the title of winner of the WSOP in 2007 with the bracelet coveted by every player in the event. He got $8.25 million in terms of prize money and spent 16 hours for finishing the game being the winner. Tuan Lam secured the place of second winner.
I got in the interview that he followed a persistent and aggressive style of poker gaming from calling to shuffling up as well as dealing at noon till the final hand of the heads up match against Tuan Lam later then 4 am. I am pleased to hear about him that he is so much concerned about the ills of the society. As per the interview I read, Jerry is has planned to with the tournament and he did too. Then, he has decided to become aggressive towards attacking the evils and problems prevailing in the society. I think this might be the best way for him to fulfill his responsibilities towards the society as a human being.
As he won the final table of the main event, he promised for the distribution of 10% of his prize money to three charitable institutions and his is still fulfilling his promises as and when they desire.
