Highest poker hand ranking wins the game

This article explains about the winning poker hands after all the betting is done. The first step to decide the winning hand is to get a look at all the players’ cards. For this article we are assuming a usual five-card poker hand. The player with the highest poker hand ranking wins. Cards can hold one of the following ranks in ascending arrange: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. The suit of a card will be Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs or Spades.

For straight flushes, flushes, straights, and nothing, the hand holding the highest card wins. Thus, the straight Q-J-10-9-8 defeats the straight J-10-9-8-7. It would as well defeat 5-4-3-2-A, as the ace is being employed as a low card in this instance.

If there is a tie among high cards, the second-highest cards are evaluated, and so on descending, until one card is higher than one more. For instance, the flush A-10-4-3-2 defeats the flush A-9-8-7-6 as the 10 is higher than the 9. If all five cards are equal except for suit, the hands are identical and the pot is divided evenly among the winning players. For instance, a royal flush in spades would tie with a royal flush in diamonds.

For four of a kind and three of a kind, the hand with the higher ranking corresponding set succeeds; 7-7-7-3-2 defeats 6-6-6-A-K for the reason that sevens are higher than sixes. Matchless cards matter just if the sets are identical; K-K-J-3-2 defeats K-K-9-8-7 as the jack defeats the 9 in all poker games.
